The Margaret River man was approved to enter Western Australia as a local resident returning from interstate, via the G2G Pass system. He arrived at Perth Airport on Thursday 31 December 2020, on a flight from Victoria, and was issued a direction to self-quarantine for 14 days at his residence in Margaret River. Several days later it was established the man could no longer self-quarantine at that residence. His direction was modified on Monday 4 January 2021, when he was directed to self-quarantine at an accommodation venue in Fremantle.
